#TriForGold with Ollie

19 May 2020

Ollie dreams of representing Australia in the Paralympics. This Gold Appeal, Ollie has created inclusive fundraising challenge 'Tri for Gold.' A patient of Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick since he was two days old, Ollie loves helping the Hospital and has been our 'face of' Gold Telethon since 2018. Ollie launched 'Tri for Gold' live on Today Extra. Can you join Ollie and try your best for sick kids?

"Hi, I’m Ollie! I'm 11 years old, a state cross country runner and I’ve been visiting Sydney Children’s Hospital since I was a baby.

I've had over 30 operations and my right foot needed to be amputated when I was four. But I love running and have a special blade to help.

For the past two years I’ve been on TV helping with Gold Telethon and I’ve seen all the amazing fundraising for the hospital. This time I’m creating my own fundraiser to help raise even more money.

When I run I feel like I can do anything so I’m going to try and run 5km and donate $5. This will be my biggest run ever but I think I can do it :)

Please support my challenge. If you don’t like running as much as I do you could try swimming or cycling. Mum said I should call it Tri for Gold because it’s like a triathlon with a difference. Every $5 will help the hospital and kids like me!

We think it would be amazing if everyone could join in too. All you need to do is:

1. Go for a run, swim or cycle

2. Donate $5 to my fundraising page

3. Nominate 5 friends and share on social

Thank you"
