Explore our 2021 Autumn Art Exhibition

19 April 2021

The Art Program’s first rotation of the year has spectacularly transformed the corridors of Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick into a place of wonder and respite for all patients, families and staff to enjoy.

Featuring exhibitions from a wide array of practitioners including Tannya Harricks, Abi Fraser, Waverley Community Collage Makers, many talented students from across NSW and our very own photographer-in-residence, Jimmy Pozarik.

After an incredibly challenging year, curator Timothy Talty believed Jimmy’s photographs were the perfect way to shine a light on sick kid’s courage and bravery during tough times.

“To begin 2021, we thought it was important to celebrate some of the individuals who have journeyed through Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network through the photographic works of Jimmy Pozarik. While their journeys are all different, and occurring at different times, we hope that their faces act as a reminder of their resilience. A reminder of why we must all persevere to create the positive changes we hope to see in our communities,” says Timothy Talty, Curator and Art Program Manager.

Members of the public, who are unable to physically view the exhibition within the Hospital, can visit the virtual gallery to enjoy the art anywhere, anytime.

A portion of each sale from Tannya Harricks and Abi Fraser’s collections, will contribute the fundraising efforts of Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation. For more info, please contact the Art Program: art@schf.org.au.

The Autumn Art exhibitions is open now and runs until June 2021.
