March – June 2021
This will be the first rotation of the exhibitions for 2021. Five creative displays will fill the corridors of the Hospital from March until June.
The Art Program uses the visual arts in all forms to transform Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick, into a place of wonder and respite, creating conversations between artists and patients. Through the Collection and Exhibition Program, the Art Program also provides opportunities for emerging artists to showcase their talents.

Birds of a Feather – Abi Fraser
“Birds of a Feather” is a quirky collection of comic-strip style paintings from Abi Fraser. Each piece strives to remind us of our individuality and our inner strength. Sitting proud and tall, the birds reflect our stoicism around our fears and anxieties; the face we present to the world. The splattered paint that drips from the animals and their environment symbolises our lack of control and need to surrender. And the brightly coloured birds beneath urge us to look beyond the surface and find beauty in imperfection.

Celebrating Our Patients
2020 was a year in which we all faced challenging times. Our ability to connect and share experiences was limited and circumstances forced us to think and act creatively. To begin 2021, we thought it important to celebrate some of the individuals who have journeyed through Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network through the photographic works of Jimmy Pozarik. While their journeys are all different, and occurring at different times, we hope that their faces act as a reminder of their resilience. A reminder of why we must all persevere to create the positive changes we hope to see in our communities.
